Why YoutH?

You’ll have a hard time trying to find the word ‘teenager’ in the Bible.
But it does unashamedly teach us to raise up the next generation to love and serve Jesus with a passion.

This is why we reckon that youth are to be valued, taught, modelled Christ and enabled to serve within our church.

We want to see our youth learn about Jesus, love Jesus and live a life that is radically transformed by Jesus.

If you're a parent, we recognise that you are the most important influence in your child's life, and so we want to partner with you to help you disciple and teach them.

How to Get Involved?

Pointy J is our Youth group for school years 6-12. Come hang out with us and play some sweet games, learn about Jesus, have time with mates and we'll eat a mad dinner together too ($3 for dinner)!

This year, Pointy J Juniors (YRS 6-8) and Pointy J Seniors (YRS 9-12) meet in the school MPC at Port Macquarie High School, Owen St.

We meet every Friday night of School term at the following times:

Pointy J Juniors at 6pm to 8pm

Pointy J Seniors at 7:30pm to 9:30pm

From time to time, we have socials & special events where the time and/or location may change. You should be able to find an overview of the term in the banner slide show at the top of this page, and more details are usually communicated via our Facebook page.

Youth Church is also held for years 6-8 on Sunday Mornings during school term. There, the junior youth learn from the Bible in an engaging and age-appropriate way.

Derick & Norah

On a normal Pointy J night there is no door-charge, however we do want to encourage our youth to be generous with their money, time and possessions. As a youth Group, we support 2 beautiful Compassion Kids – Derick & Norah – in Msaranga, Tanzania.

We commit to praying for the physical and spiritual well-being of Derick & Norah, and also provide an opportunity for the youth to give to these two sponsor kids.

It costs $167 per child, per term to support Derick & Norah.
